PSL is a looksmaxxing rating scale (named after the forums PUAHate, Sluthate, Lookism) used to rank facial aesthetics from 1 to 10.
PSL is a community rating scale that grew out of early looksmaxxing forums (PUAHate, Sluthate, and Lookism — hence P-S-L). It rates faces on a harsh 1–10 scale, where the top end is reserved for model-tier bone structure and the terms “Chad,” “Chadlite,” and “normie” describe tiers.
PSL ratings are subjective and notoriously severe. They can be a useful shorthand within the community, but they are not scientific, and fixating on a single harsh number is exactly the kind of thing that harms rather than helps. Improvement over time is a far healthier metric than a static PSL score.
